Top Rated Comedy Movies - IMDB
I am in the process of building this site because I love comedy movies. A good comedy is like fine wine, you never get tired of it. With drama and action movies, all the suspense and excitement that you have while watching it the first time goes away after watching it again and again.
I am specifically a fan of English comedy movies because that is my first language but I have recently come to appreciate comedy movies in Thai, Tagalog, and Spanish in addition to English.
That is why you will hardly ever see me watch a drama or action or horror movie more than once. Sometimes twice if I am with friends.
But with comedy, I can watch them over and over. Although I may no longer laugh as crazily as I did the first time I watched it, I still enjoy them.
Currently, I am on a path to watching some of the older comedies. A George Burns comedy movie called "Oh, God!" was hilarious. It was fun and lighthearted about religion. Good for religious people as well as non-religious.
What About Bob?
I watched What About Bob today. It is a great movie with the lead actors Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfus. Dreyfus is basically a psychiatrist at the beginning of the movie while Murray is his patient.
Without spoiling too much of the plot, the roles are reversed and Murray ends up turning normal at the expense and driving Dreyfus crazy.
If you like light hearted family movies, this is for you. Dreyfus has a great family. Typical kind of family actually. He has one daughter, one son, and a dog. His wife is gorgeous. The family falls in love with Bob and so that is what drives Dreyfus crazy.
